this is what is right in the hiphop world these days. You see how the beat has that harmonious sort of smooth climb in the background. Thats whats in this gen. If you listen to trance music than you are familiar with this. Reageton I think was the first to commercialize the whole take a techno beat and morph it into something else. We Spanish people are a bit lazy so we took the short cut of just adding the same drum n base loop to a techno track then rapping over it. Thus reageton was born.

and this is an example of the same technique beat wise ruined by the rapper. the beat is great and the hook is on point but the rappers are so mediocre. For me there flow feels like there is no feeling behind it. It's like they go to the studio write some shit then spit and call it a day. But I guess its all in the ear of the beholder because there a bunch of people who would consider this song excellent.

Now all this is whats happening in music as far as the east coast goes. out in the west hiphop has taking a rather laid back surfer beach type of mood. God I can't wait to move back west, minimal amount of tall buildings, no trains, wide open roads, and i can understand what the hell everyone is saying.

now this is the kind of stuff you just wont find in new york
