paint by numbers

Numbers are very important. Every thing revolves around numbers. Numbers are beautifully complex and predictable. 4 plus 4 will always be eight. no exceptions no random factors. Life is ruled by these numbers. The hard part is figuring out how the two are related. Through math we can calculate storm trajectories, find out what speed and direction a car in a car accident went. Ancient civilizations knew the importance of math and the world around us. I've been reading this apocalypse 2012 and so far it's pretty interesting stuff. The mayans were obsessed with the number 20 and 13. apparently there are 13 major joints in the human bodies. the mayans studied the sky with extreme scrutiny. they realized that the stars moved and in cycles. This was amazing given their limited technologies (or their lack of). One thing about numbers is that they are only as good as the value you put on them. Amount wise 10 will always be 10 no matter what your counting. But lets say you assign the number 10 to a person then assign the number 10 to a different person the value of that 10 changes. The mayans assigned meanings to some of these numbers. the beginning 0.0.0.0.1 AND THE END 13.0.0.0.0. this end is suppose to signify the end of an era. I don't buy any of this bull but i got to admit that it makes for a good bit of reading.
